My Story
Thanks to the inspiration and motivation I received as a Curves member over the last 3 years, I have changed to an active lifestyle with a healthy diet, lost 90 pounds, eliminated high cholesterol and Type 2 diabetes, and controlled my blood pressure. I have maintained the 90 pound weight loss for two years by eating a balanced diet with a philosophy of everything in moderation and working out 5 or 6 times a week. I get in 3 workouts a week at Curves, 2 times a week at aquasize and at least once a week at a mixed Pilates and Yoga class.
Tips for Maintaining Weight Loss
Dont compare yourself to anyone else! Not everyone can be a size 6.
Be the healthiest and best *YOU* you can be!
Commit to a health lifestyle that includes a nutritious diet, daily exercise, 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day, and regular medical checkups.
Treat yourself occasionally with food and drink you really enjoy. You cant diet forever. The key really is everything in moderation.
Portion Size, Portion Size, Portion Size!
Participate in regular calorie burning activity. Get in a minimum of 3 workouts a week at Curves and add in other activities 2 or 3 times a week like cycling, swimming, yoga, hiking, etc.
A day without exercise is like a day without sunshine.
Watch your weight like a hawk and go on a reduced calorie diet or increase your exercise when it goes up by 3 pounds. (I weigh myself every day.)
