My Story
I am 66 years old and had struggled to quit smoking for many years. I had smoked for 45 years and was always concerned that I would gain a lot of weight if I quit. I finally decided to join Curves in July of 2008 and when I signed up I was asked my reason for joining. When I told them I wanted to try and quit smoking and hoped that Curves would help me not gain weight, I got the surprise of my life. I have never had such a cheering squad in the many times I have tried before. The caring and support that I received every time I went in was just amazing and gave me the strength to quit. I have been smoke free for over a year and have not gained an ounce of weight, but have gained so many wonderful friends. I'm in the best shape I've been in many years and I owe it all to my wonderful coaches and friends at Curves!
