My Story
Teresa Powell is an AMAZING Curves member and is the epitome of a Curves woman. She is strong, dedicated and hard working and does an AMAZING job motivating other members in the club to visit consistently and do their best.
She participates in all of our incentive programs (and usually wins something)! And, is also an active member of our Curvecise classes and Boot Camps " which add fun and challenge to the circuit!
She is also very active in the community, enjoys riding her NEW bike, and gathers for monthly Curves coffee-time with several of her workout buddies from the club.

Teresa's story:
Im a busy person and my time is very important to me. Fitness has always been a part of my life but as Ive gotten older, maintaining my weight and fitness level has grown more challenging. I appreciate that Curves gives me a complete body workout in a short amount of time. Ive been a member of gyms and taken aerobic classes. At Curves I get the toning I would get at the gym and the cardio I would get from a class, all without out having to wait for the next machine or the hassle of making a specific class time. Curves works to fit my schedule (not the other way around).
Ive especially enjoyed all the people Ive gotten to know during my workouts. The staff and the members are very friendly. Weve even started Curves and Coffee once a month. We work out together then go down the street for coffee. Getting to know each other better gives you a sense of accountability and gives you that extra push to get into the club - even if it is just to catch up on the latest news! The staff works hard to keep us motivated with Boot Camp, Curvecise and friendly competitions so you never get bored.
The final thing I love about Curves is the confidence I have gained that I can physically do more than I think. I knew I was getting a good work out at Curves when I went on a river trip with my Jr. High Youth Group last summer. Some of the kids wanted to kayak upstream a couple of miles. I didnt think I had the upper body strength to keep up but I told them I would try. Not only did I make it, but I kept up and helped several kids portage their kayak to the rapids. Since then I try hard to take on physical challenges with more confidence in my abilities.
