My Story
"If I can lose the weight, than anyone can".
Those are the words I hated to hear, because I knew that I was one of those people that could not lose the weight, no matter how hard I tried. I would start a diet and then a month later, get bored and discouraged. Eventually, I would go back to my old eating habits. Food was my comfort. I ate when I was happy and sad! Soon the weight I lost would reappear and thensome. I was tipping the scales at 300lbs and was feeling lost and miserable. I just didn't know how to get back on track and lose the weight.
My mom was a member of Curves, and suggested I try it. That was the best advice!! I loved going to Curves, so much so, I go 6 days a week. Exercising was actually fun!! Listening and talking to other members while doing the circuit made it more enjoyable.
January 2008, I finally decided to do something about my lifelong weight problem. With the support of all the Curves trainers, I was able to make small goals and achieve them. I persevered, and have lost 155lbs. Incredibly, I have now lost more weight than I weigh! People congratulate me and tell me that I give them the motivation to lose weight. My self confidence has soared and my health has improved. I work at a day care and have more energy to be active with the children. I am so proud of my accomplishment and praise the Curves staff and members for all their support and encouragement.
I can now finally say,
"IF I CAN LOSE THE WEIGHT, ANYONE CAN!"
