My Story
I LOVE CURVES!
I have always been overweight. Tried many diets but never exercised. In 2005 I reached my highest weight of 225. I started with NutriSystem initially and lost about 10 lbs. But I later learned that this was not a good way to live the rest of my life. I found it too expensive and very unappealing. A friend introduced me to Curves. I joined in June 2005. Shortly thereafter I purchased two Curves Books (Bibles), read them and followed the food plans. Soon the weight came off. But most importantly, the inches flew off. There were times when I would not lose much weight but would lose inches. I have now lost a total of 75 lbs doing Curves 3 times a week and eating healthy.
But what I loved the most about Curves is that it is fast, convenient, and can be found in many locations. I have a very busy schedule and do not have time to work out in a gym. I have to get in and get out. My family and I travel a lot. When I make travel arrangements it always involves a Curves location check. I have never been in a location that did not have a Curves. The Curves food plan is basically following the 8 healthy guidelines. The Curves book taught me how to eat to live not to live to eat. There is nothing unusual about the food. It can all be purchased in a supermarket. It is just simple eating and a better lifestyle.
But the victories did not just stop at losing weight. Working out with Curves has motivated me to do more. I am now walking 5 miles a day, bike 15 miles a week and am now doing simple workout routines at home. BUT, I STILL GO TO CURVES THREE TIMES A WEEK.
