My Story
The reason why I joined was because my Daughter gave me a Challange, plus, it was Mother Day and my Husband wanted to know what I wanted so I said "Curves". I got out of the Army in April 1996 and to say the least have gained about 50lbs in the past 13 years. For one thing, I haven't been able to work due to disabilities, we have a complete Gym at our home, but, I guess it just wasn't that interesting to me. My Husband on the other hand uses it 3 to 5 days a week. So I decided I would give CURVES a try, I even started right in with the CURVES Smart program, for I figured that way I would have to stay honest with myself. Well, I just got my 100 Workout T-Shirt, and have lot 25 lbs so far, I go on M-W-F, and feel guilty if I don't make it. There have been a few times that I haven't. Even when my local CURVES had closed down while they were transferring the ownership, I found one close by that I could go to, it took a little more out of my days to go to one that was out of town, but, I went. I recently had Eye surgery and couldn't for a couple of days, but, the good part is that I still lose the weight and haven't gained any of it back. The funny part is that my Jeans or loose and my shorts, well, let's put it this way, I recently had a "YARD SALE" and put about 3/4 of my shorts and Dress pants in the sale. Of course, my husband will say, "I don't want to hear about it." My Daughter, on the other hand didn't stay with CURVES, she comes up with all kinds of reasons why she can't make it to workout even though she doesn't work full time, nor has any kids YET! She's due NOW in Mid to late Aug. I really enjoy going, have met several of the Women in the community that I wouldn't have met without CURVES. I feel better about how I look and feel and I intend to continue to go. Who knows by this time next year, maybe I wil lose another 25 lbs. I only try to lose about 2 to 2 1/2 lbs a month that way I know that I will keep it off. For those ladies out there that haven't enrolled with the CURVES SMART Program, it's a good one to get into because it keeps you on track. That way if, you do have to miss a day, it will set you, for the next work out where you left off. I guess now I am hooked on working out the CURVES WAY!!!!! So if you are on the fence about joining or using the SMART Program it really does make a difference.
