My Story
When I joined Curves in 2004, I was desperate and hopeless. I had lost some weight from my top weight of 210 pounds but could not shake it off! I was miserable and frustrated. I was tired of being tired! My body couldnt carry all that weight. My joints were constantly sore. These short, chubby thighs kept rubbing together! It was awful!
A friend of mine had been going to Curves for several months. When I inquired the change I noticed in her, she told me about Curves. I hadn't even heard of Curves before that.
I decided to check it out. The 30 minute workout was the answer for my tight schedule! I like how I can get in & out so quickly. As long as I work the machines hard, I don't have to worry about wasting time adjusting the weights. I also appreciate working out with women. There's no fashion patrol at Curves. The "come as you are" attitude is so comforting!
I still struggled with my emotional eating. Thank God I was working out at Curves through out these years. I would have been back up to 210 pounds again!
For the past three years, I've been working with a dietitian. I'm on a food plan similar to the weight management program that Curves offers for free to its members. I've learned that nutrition and working out together create a healthy life style. I found my answer to weight management!
I also found my answer to managing stress. All of us are under a lot of stress. Especially with times like these, it is important for us to be working out on the circuit. When I work off my stress, those endorphins are released. Thus, helping me be a better wife, mother, & women that God wants me to be.
I'm almost back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I know if I stay faithful to my food plan & continuing working out at Curves, I'll get to my dietitian's goal weight for me.
I'm so thankful to my friend for telling me about Curves. Make a difference in a person's life. Tell a friend about Curves. It has changed my life! You may help change someone else's life too! Were all in this together!
God bless,
