My Story
One of the main reasons I decided to join Curves in '02 was that I had been diagnosed with osteoporosis in '95. Medication had only been slightly helpful - my bone loss was at 17%. In 2005, after 3 years as a Curves member, bone loss in my spine had improved to 7% and the diagnosis was upgraded to "osteopenia not yet osteoporosis". In 2007, as a 5 year Curves member, bone loss had improved to 2%. "Osteopenia" was again the diagnosis and compared to 2005, "bone mineral density is increased". I definitely believe Curves is the big reason for my improved bone density along with prescription Actonel & calcium supplements with Vitamin D & K and strontium. Rheumatoid Arthritis has also been part of my life for many years & Curves has definitely helped my joint mobility as well. Curves is a healthy & beneficial part of my life.
