My Story
It started in January 2003. I had just retired and was looking for a place to work out and have fun. Initially, I joined Family Fitness, but found myself dreading every timeI walked into the place. It was more work than fun, and I knew I woudn't be disciplined enough to follow through. Then I heard of Curves. It was amazing. I really felt like I was getting a good work out, loseing weight and inches. It was fast and fun at the smae time. Now, doing something good for my body, mind and soul!
I have met so many wonderful women over the last 6 years and some of them have become very good friends. NOt only have I made new friends, but my doctor has been very please with my Osteoporosis test results as well as my continued good general health. (I tell hem "Curves" is the answer!) Being a two time cancer survivor, being in good health is so important to me.
Over the past several years since I joined Curves, tragedy has struck my family. First, with the sudden death of my sister, a fellow Curvette, and then with the tragic illness that struck my daughter, leaving her disabled. My fellow Curvettes have always been there for me in these times of trouble that we call "life".
So, I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Curves means so much more to me than just a place to workout. It's a place like "Cheers", the old TV comedy show, where everybody knows your name! NOt only do they know your name, but they really care about you and your family....I hope and pray that I can continue to workout at Curves for a very, very, long time. Thank-You Curves....
