My Story
My name is Kathy
I have worked in a nursing home for 9 years. My sister put my Dad in this nursing home.I was not satisfied with his care, so I went to school to be a C N A. And went to work there. My Dad passed away 4 yrs. ago . I stayed. Ilove my job and what I do .Most of all I love my residents. They become your family especially when there family leaves and does not come back.
But it is a very stressfull job.
I have my mother in law living with me and my husband. She is 80 yrs. old ,has lived with us for 4 yrs. now.In April 2009 I had to go to Texas and get my brother from a nursing home , his wife passed in march, and felt he could not stay there. He is 70. So when I leave a stressful job I go home to one. I work days ,my husband works nights, So they wont be alone by thereselves.A very good friend a nurse at work satrted going to Curves and enjoyed it.She kept asking me to try it. I said no several times but she got me a free pass and I tried it.
I love it . There are times I think I cant go Iam tired I have to get home just dont fill like going. But my truck leads me right to Curves parking lot. And of course my friend says I will see you at the gym. I sigh and say ok. But I get there and work out and I become stress free . There is nothing better than a curves work and a good friend to take away your stress and worries. I go 5 days a week and love it . I look forward to getting off work just so I can go work out. Then I go home with a new attitude and stress free to my family and start all over again.
