My Story
My name is Teresa Martin. From the time I was a teenager until now, I have always been a heavy person. I went for an annual check-up in November 2007 and weighed in at my highest weight of 283lbs. I was so down and out about the way I looked and felt. At the time my daughter was 2 1/2 years old and I knew I had to do something to be around for her and my family. Me and a couple of friends from work had been talking about getting in shape and losing weight. We visited Curves and became members in December 2007. Owner Kristina Moorefield's attitude on the first day put me at ease for any doubts I had. She was my angel in disguise.At my first weigh-in I had lost 13lbs and 24.5 inches. I was so excited that I wanted to keep going. I lost continually every month. As of June 19th I have lost 91 lbs and 96.5 inches!I am still striving to reach my goal of losing 113 lbs. It has been alot of hard work and determination. I am more concious of what I eat and try to concentrate on healthier choices as the Curves Weight Management plan has tought me. The staff and members at the Collinsville Curves has continually encouraged me on my progress, which has made it easy to keep losing the weight. My friends and family have also supported me. Curves has given me the power to Amaze myself. Im the happiest and healthiest Ive been in a long time. Im proud of what I've accomplished so for and Im determined not to go back to the way i was. Im still losing and still Excited!!!!! Curves, What a great Place :)!!!!
