My Story
By the fall of 2007, I had reached my highest weight ever. I have been struggling with my weight all my life from being a chubby child to an obese adult. I have successfully lost weight numerous times but have never been able to keep it off. I joined Weight Watchers in September of 2007 but I knew that successful permanent weight loss includes not only eating properly but exercising as well. A friend gave me a guest pass to Curves at just the right time. The program made sense and I decided that I could certainly find 30 minutes in my day to work out.
In the 95 weeks since I joined Weight Watchers and added Curves to my life, I have lost 95 pounds and 51.5 inches! I am healthier than I have been in years! I am down to one blood pressure medication and my doctor is in the process of weening me off of that one, too. I can play with my grandkids (even running races), have fun dancing at weddings, and can actually run up a flight of stairs without losing my breath. Curves is not just my "exercise routine," it is a part of my life that I REALLY look forward to! I have made new friends at Curves. Sharing our successes is a wonderful bonding with my early morning Curves buddies and the staff (especially Mindy, Kathy & Mary). I travel for work and enjoy visiting Curves at other places throughout the country. Having the ability to go to Curves while traveling is definitely a factor in the success of my new healthy lifestyle.
I found out today that I am the Top Club Points member at my club! So, thank you, Curves for giving me a new lease on life and a great new circle of friends!
