My Story
Who would have thought at 57 I would have heart bypass surgery? The months of being unable to exercise and then being afraid to exercise... I joined Curves to get back in shape and was doing really well and then injured my back at work and had to miss my workout for months. I'm back and so is my strength. It's not just weight loss it is also endurance and flexibility. Up until joining Curves putting on pantihose for church Sunday was a cardio exercise for me. I lost so much muscle tone from compensating for the injured back (it's sort of like being 9 months pregnant) you stand differant to take the tension off your back, well in time your body has adjusted to that bad posture, not good (unless you want to look 9 months pregnant while you are collecting Social Security). It's not just weight loss, it's inchs, posture, strength and being flexible at a time when most people are taking drugs for their bones. Top it off with a Curves Protein shake and you are ready for the day. There is something neat about being asked for your ID when you are 62 and 1/2 because you don't look old enough to get the senior discount. It's not just weight it's attitude, feel young, look young. Now I must go walk the golden retreiver, mow the lawn, lay some new sod, do the laundry, go to Curves, clean the closet, OH, did I mention ENERGY?????
