My Story
I am allergic to exercise
If you knew me for very long you would have probably heard me say that I am allergic to exercise. How silly is that? I knew that I wasnt allergic but I avoided exercise like I was allergic to it. I had physical jobs but to go and "just exercise" seemed pointless to me. On July 21, 2007 I quit smoking; I was not working regularly and had a lot of time on my hands. I was not thin to begin with but I really started to put on the weight. I decided that dieting alone was not going to do the trick. My friend had joined Curves and was seeing much success, she invited me to use a guest pass. I joined Curves exactly a month after I quit smoking. It took me awhile to get used to having exercise in my daily routine but thanks to the staff at Curves I continued on.
My reasons for joining Curves, I wanted to be able to walk with my husband without getting out of breath. I am a youth leader and I need lots of energy to keep up with my teens.
I feel so much better now, I have plenty of energy and I can breathe! I am still smoke free and I am still exercising regularly. The Curves staff and members are encouraging and motivating even if I have some setbacks I do not feel judged or looked down on. I always feel like an amazing woman.
I wanted to lose weight and I have but my reasons were not for the skinny jeans or the dating scene, but it sure is nice to get lean. I am happy that I joined Curves I think that Curves is my antihistamine for my exercise allergy
