My Story



I joined Curves on June 9th 2005 and at that time I weighed 181 lb. I committed to go to Curves three times a week. By October I had lost 12 lbs.

On November 11th I fell and fractured my tibia, this is the bone above the ankle. I was in a cast from November to January and I gained back all the weight I had lost, and more. I was really disappointed since I was doing so well with my workouts at Curves.

I returned in mid April of 2006, and like before, went three times a week, but was unable to use the full circuit until two months later. By July I weighed 171 lbs., ten pounds lighter then my original weight.

Along with working the Curves circuit, I decided to intensify my workout. I added a floor routine that Id done years ago. This included a full lower body workout as this was the area I wanted to concentrate on. I worked on my core, butt, and inner/outer thighs. I also added ankle weights. I did not diet along with my workout instead I just watched what I ate.

As of May 31st 2009, by working out on the Curves circuit and doing my floor routine, Ive been able to lose a total of 44.50 pounds, 41.00 inches and down to 29.82% of body fat.

My commitment and dedication, as well as the support of the Curves staff, has helped me reach my goal. Curves continues to be an important part of my healthy lifestyle.
