My Story
Started Curves at Wilder Ky. Jan a new Curves open less then a mile from my home, Been in Independence since day 1. I am a breast cancer for 9 yrs now. After my surgery I sat around and felt sorry for my self, gained around 40 lbs. When I had my 3rd grandchild and could.t even get up off the floor after playing with her I knew I had to change. I joined Curves. I told myself I cound do anything for 30 seconds. Boy did I ever. It took a while but I lost 50 lbs and still have maintained that loss. At my Independence Curves I have completed 1292 workouts and I'm the only one who has even made it to 1000. I love my curves. Have made plenty of new friends and in the cource of a few years met lots of friends that I knew 20 or more years ago.
When I reach another workout milesstone I paint the no.1 in front of 100,200,300 etc shirt.
I love playing the games and look forward to coming to work out.
When I lost my 50lbs, I gave my toooo big shirts to a new friend.
My outlook is so much happier now. I do not intend to ever stop.
I have 7 grandkids now and can play, take care of them, and run with the best of them.
Other then the wonderful man I married Curves is the very best thing I have ever done for MYSELF!!!!.
